Insurance

We are in network for many of the hundreds of insurance companies and insurance plans. Prior to your first visit we make an attempt to verify the in-network status with your insurance plan. Often, we do not have all the information needed to determine the network status until we have reviewed your insurance card. Ultimately, it is the Insureds/Patients responsibility to know whether or not the provider you are consulting with accepts your insurance in-network. Please review your policy and benefits as well as research your plan and the network status of all providers including ours.

Self-Pay patients are welcome.

We do not offer a payment plan for services but do offer a discount and can determine discounted fees prior to the scheduled date of surgery.

Federal No Surprise Act There are no surprise billings from this office. We are transparent in our billing practices and fees.

Billing

The patient is responsible for all copays at the time of the office visit. As a courtesy to the patient, we bill (send charges) to your insurance company for the remainder of payment. Patients will be billed for the “patient responsibility” portion the charges. These balances vary based on the insurance plan and coverage for each different individual.

Our surgeon covers or “takes call” at local two local hospitals and he performs surgeries at several surgery centers. If you have received a bill regarding charges for a emergency room visit, a stay in the hospital, or a surgery center facility, please review the statement received for the correct contact information to inquire about the bill.

If you have any questions regarding a statement you received from Surgical Consultants of Aurora call 303-337-5600 ext 104.
